Grading for Current Course
Tests and Quizzes- Tests and quizzes are a reflection of what the student has learned over a particular topic. Therefore Tests and quizzes will comprise 90% of a student's grade. This helps to ensure that a student’s grade reflects their knowledge of the content. A student can choose to retake a test or a quiz after first attending one hour of tutoring. The highest score will be recorded.
Board Work- Students are to attempt the problems on the board at the beginning of each class period. These problems will be discussed as a class. Students work the entire week’s problems on one sheet of paper and turn it in at the end of the week. If the student is on time and organized he or she should earn the full points each week.
Homework- Assignments are due the day after they are assigned. With the flipped instruction model students will primarily be taking notes for homework assignments. A few short problems will be given at the end of the video. Students who do not show work and/or do not take notes will be required to redo their assignment.
